Was I overthinking being a Pisces when I was younger?

Years ago when I was a young girl let's say...elementary school through middle school and maybe one year of high school;  I was very much into the zodiac thing. I would always ask what sign others were and read my daily horoscope and things like that.I was fully aware that I was thinking about myself as a Pisces.

As I have grown older I moved away from that and now, I just try and embrace what is around me in nature. Which also in turn I think made me more naturally involved in my zodiac without even trying.

Birth Flowers

As I continue on my tattoo designing and brainstorming adventure, I figured I should do some more research on birth flowers and relation to zodiac.

Sidetrack relevant story:

While I was at work one evening, a woman and her child walked an aise I was in and assisted them. The woman on her left shoulder blade had a beautiful flower tattoo. I inquired about it and remarked that it looked beautiful. She said it was her daughter's birth flower. She then asked her daughter when her birthday was and the little girl remarked "August!" Her flower was the gladiolus.

I found this website and several others helpful.
Zodiac Flowers

Birth Month Flowers

Pisces
What would the world look like without the spiritual, intuitive and comedic qualities of Pisces? Pretty boring indeed.
  • Birth flower: Water lilies
Additional Pisces flowers include:
  • Water lilies (with sea green or crimson blooms)
  • Moss
  • Poppies
  • Rhubarb
  • Yarrow
  • Clematis
  • Lilac
  • Orchids

The Violet is my birth month flower.

"February's birth flower is the violet, which signifies watchfulness, loyalty, and faithfulness. Give a violet to someone to let them know you'll always be there for them. The other February flower is the primrose, which lets someone know you can't live without them."

What I have found interesting that throughout my life I have been drawn to purples, blues, greens and several others. I have also been drawn to specific flowers, I don't know if this is because I liked the look and learned the species and some information about them for me to automatically like them unconscionably, or if I just genuinely was naturally drawn to these.

I have always been drawn to aqua blue water (be it at the beach or pool.)

Most of these things are because I am a Pisces and these things are what I am naturally drawn to anyway. So have I always embraced my zodiac sign?

I would say yes, but I never could put a label on it.

What I wanted when I saw this

These pictures below were off of a Ron Jon long sleeved t-shirt. It was off the back of it. I have kept it for many years, I think because of the sunset, the colors and the palm trees. I even remember thinking when I was younger that this would be an awesome tattoo. So I think that is why I kept it for so long. It has a lot of aspects that I am drawn to so it makes sense. It looks like a happy place to escape to.

Granted the piece of cloth is somewhat cracked  and old, but it gets the point across!

This volcano lava going into the ocean is beautiful and I love the colors that are featured in it.
It has nothing to do with the Ron Jon or Pisces below, but the colors alone speak.

Nature Photography, Our Amazing Planet from Google+ I got these two pictures from.

Also this sky photograph, the colors again I love.

I saw this on the internet several times, the lilies caught my eye as well as the Pisces symbol.

Just a mix of things I liked from online. The color spectrum is pretty spot on for me. I love my purples, blues, greens. Mainly firework purple, aqua blue, hot pink, mostly all pastels.

My husband is December 11

I am February 23

My Pinterest Interests

Basically, I will be using this blog and Pinterest together to share my interests.

To get more of an idea of what I like, and would like check out my Pinterest.

At some point, I would also like to do some drawings, or some serious fanciness with Photoshop. I can add in scans from my sketchbook too.

A few starters...taken from my Google+

Here are a few pictures of styles that I like. I also posted these with descriptions on my google+.
Below is the post.

I will expand on it.

Itching for a new tattoo, but I want to draw it up and really makes sure it is what I want before I spend the money and choose a place to have it done.

Below I've put a few ideas that I like the style and colors of, but it's going to either be a right shoulder, foot, ankle, or maybe a shoulder/back mix, not totally sure yet, thus my research! :-D

Top favorite, this is pretty much what I would want, but not as big and not on my side rib cage! Or to incorporate a tree swallow or another flower. The orange is perfect!

Another possibility is a belted kingfisher tattoo! I love the way they fly, dive, chatter and they are excellent at fishing and perching elegantly as hell. :-D

Love the color and wispy lines (once again). Possible location, just smaller I don't think I am ready to commit to that much tattoo in one place, also that can get expensive!! Not to mention sitting for a long time, multiple times!

Love the color and layout

Like the color, a little too matte for me I think though.
I may want a goldenrod flower                                                                                          instead of the seashells...but similar style to this.

Really like the whips with the lilies and the stars mixed into this one. Not 100% on the star.

I like the location of the feather and how it meets with the other foot. Simple

Love the purple, whips and butterfly. Again, if not a butterfly maybe a hibiscus flower or something else.

What's This All About!?

I have been using Pintrest lately to share my expression of new tattoos that I want, either by the location of the tattoos or the styles of art being used.

This is just another way for me to express what I want for tattoos.

It's been eight years since I got my first tattoo, I was 18 and it was in May of 2007. I got it for my grandmother who passed away and I believe that she is a free spirit, but I also got it because I was named Lynette for my middle name after her. This is my mother's mother.

I used my grandmother's signature in the tattoo, and added a rose in the birds beak as a add on at the last minuet. I did not draw the design of the bird, and I am not really sure what kind of bird it is. I want to add in more colors into the clouds that are already existing, and make it more like bright beams of light coming out of the sky. Honestly before I get any new ink, I should really touch this one up. My husbands also suggested to touch it up too.

For my new tattoos;

My plan is to use photographs or drawings I have done to make the tattoo a genuine expression of my creativity and other words that I can't think of right at this minute.
